Permission Set Builder

What this does:

Permission Set Builder allows you to bundle access to things like reports, batch functionalities, and will allow you to name these bundles to easily apply the configuration to new users you onboard. Once complete the new sets can be applied to existing users as well. A good example is when you want a particular group of users to be able to have access to certain reports, but not others. This will ultimately give you further control into managing your users.

Requirements

To use this feature you will need to be logged in as a Vendor Admin in Invision.

How To

1. Under Settings, select "Permission Set Builder".

2. Fill out the box "Permission Set Name" this will be the way you identify the list of permissions you will select.

3. Then determine which user role this will apply to (Vendor Admin, Vendor User, Contract User).

4. You will then select the button listed as "Create New Set" This will open up the view where you will start to make your determinations

5. You will click the drop down menu listed as "Select Permission Type". This will show you all the areas available to your users. To begin making a determination select them one by one and click the add button or select the "add all" button to apply all on the list. "Defaults" will be the ones traditionally associated with that role out of the box.

6. Once the determinations are made, if you notice selections you want to remove you are able to click the "Delete" trash can symbol to remove them one by one. After you have reviewed the information and confirm all selections of access are what you want, you are ready to identify the rules your users have access to.

Review is the Vendor Admin and Master Company Admin default, this allows editing of status and leaving comments across the company's carrier associations.

Block when selected the users are not able to bill or review these assignments.

8. After you have reviewed and finalized all the selections you have made so far it is time to apply these configurations to your users in the manage users section. Should you get to this step and realize these configurations are not what you want you are able to select "Delete Set" this will remove the named set of configurations from the list.
